A second - and possibly a third - crop circle has been reported in the Cranbrook area.
And, despite reports from unnamed “amateur researchers from Waterloo” in last week’s edition of The Citizen that the second crop circle is a hoax, a Canadian Crop Circle Research Network researcher claims it’s the real thing.
“I haven’t seen the third but the other two weren’t hoaxes,” says Matt Rock of CCCRN.
Rock visited the site at a wheat field on the farm of Murray Houston off McNabb Line between Moncrieff and Walton Roads on Saturday, Aug. 16.
He says he knew the second Cranbrook crop circle was not a hoax because of its similarity to one found recently in Wallacetown and the precision of the measurements.
Both the Wallacetown and Cranbrook crop circles are “dumbbell-shaped” with two circles connected by a channel and located in wheat fields.
The Cranbrook circles in the second crop circle are 42 and 44 feet in diameter with a 64-foot channel that is 5-foot 3-inches wide. The wheat stalks are bent at the base in a counter-clockwise direction in both circles.
