Since Jan. 20, 2021, 257,110 migrant children have been encountered at the U.S. southern border, according to data from Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Along their trek to the U.S. border, the children are subjected to heinous acts of violence committed by the smuggling cartels who have no fear of reprisals from Team Biden, according to human rights groups and media outlets reporting from the border.
Those who survive the cartels and are apprehended by Border Patrol are quickly released to sponsors across the country, not returned to their home countries.
Team Biden’s open-borders policy has turned the USA into the “world’s epicenter” of child trafficking, according to Trump White House border policy architect Stephen Miller.
“These astronomical numbers defy any historical comparison. So overwhelmingly are the prior records exceeded that there is no reference point. Biden, with the unflinching aid of 50 Senate Democrats, is running the largest child smuggling operation our world has ever seen,” Miller tweeted.
Miller told the Washington Examiner: “Joe Biden’s decision to resettle all unaccompanied illegal minors from beyond Mexico in the United States, and to place them with unvetted adult sponsors, makes him and his party in Congress responsible for the largest child smuggling epidemic in human history. It has enriched virtually every major child smuggler in the hemisphere and far beyond. It has filled the ranks of MS-13. It has created a monstrous industry of vast global reach. And it has made America’s border into the world’s epicenter of labor trafficking, sex trafficking, and modern-day slavery.”
Iowa Republican Sen. Joni Ernst told Fox News last month: “The Border Patrol, they told us that about 30% of the women and girls that are being trafficked by the cartels up to the border are being sexually abused along the way. And those are just the ones that are reporting. And so the Border Patrol agents feel that 60% of them having been abused would be a more accurate number. So it really is appalling.”
Ernst said that Border Patrol told senators who had visited the border “that a five and six-year-old girl had been just brutally raped right there at the border. And they said that they were so badly injured they had to call emergency medical personnel for the girls.”
In addition, Ernst said agents told the senators about “rape trees” that are used by the criminal smugglers to abuse the girls.
“And we heard of what they call ‘rape trees,’ where there are areas where the cartel smugglers will take the women and girls and, well, rape them under a tree and then take their undergarments and throw them up into the tree and hang them from the branches,” Ernst said border agents told her during the trip.
The smugglers know what they’re doing which is “taunting the American law enforcement officials by doing this. It’s in your face, look, we can do whatever we want and there will be no repercussions,” stated Ernst. “It’s so disgusting.”
Arizona Republican Rep. Andy Biggs said in March of this year that the Biden administration admitted losing nearly 20,000 migrant children.
Biggs said he had asked Team Biden in September 2021 for information on unaccompanied alien children (UACs) referred to the care and custody of the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
Biggs said the response was shocking, but not surprising. Of the 146,000 children in total that had been intercepted, processed and released to sponsors in FY 2021, 19,726 of them could not be reached for a follow-up by ORR.
It took HHS 5 months to respond to my letter and admit that they’ve lost track of nearly 20,000 unaccompanied alien children. More troubling, they don’t seem that worried about it. #BidenBorderCrisis pic.twitter.com/L6Ge9F14dN

The Washington Examiner’s Anna Giaritelli reported on Aug. 21 that Team Biden’s policies are creating a new “DACA 2.0” generation, a reference to the 800,000 minors let in under former President Barack Obama to whom Democrats want to grant amnesty.
“Here’s the problem that this administration is not even realizing — they’re creating the next generation of DACA,” Rudy Karisch, a former senior Border Patrol agent who oversaw operations within the southern border’s top region for apprehensions, told Giaritelli. “We have not even figured out what we’re going to do with the previous generation, and they’re creating the next generation.”
Giaritelli noted: “Congress is the only government entity legally allowed to set immigration levels, but after years of failed attempts to give legal status to immigrants who illegally entered the country, President Barack Obama acted. DACA allowed noncitizens who were then under the age of 31 and had entered America before turning 16 years old and before 2007 to request that the government not deport them. DACA recipients also received documents to legally work in the U.S. The protections were good for two years at a time and then would require applying for renewal.”
Friday marked a decade since Obama’s DACA policy was implemented. In those ten years, Congress has not moved to create a permanent solution for illegal immigrants who want to remain in the U.S.
In 2018, President Donald Trump asked Congress to provide $25 billion to build a wall on the southern border with Mexico and a handful of other demands to restrict immigration in return for a plan to provide a pathway to full U.S. citizenship for 1.8 million illegal immigrants, including all DACA recipients. No deal was made.
